Logos
The Macrostrat v2 mark, in framed and frameless forms, each with a simplified variant for small sizes and a dark-background variant. SVG is preferred; PNG is provided for tools that cannot use SVG.

PNG versions use the same names with a .png extension, under
https://storage.macrostrat.org/assets/web/macrostrat-icons/. A favicon
(macrostrat-favicon.svg, .png) is there too.
Colors
The palette is sampled from the logo: purple primary, with mint, pink and sky accents.

These are the brand primitives of Macrostrat's design system (Paleozoic, --pz-
variables) and are what the website itself uses.
Naming
"Macrostrat", one word, capital M. The mobile app is "Rockd". When you mean the organization, "the Macrostrat lab at the University of Wisconsin–Madison".

The v1 wordmark and the pre-2024 logos are retired; please use the marks above.
